Every Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM
WHAT IS GODLY PLAY?
Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play. Based on Montessori principles and developed using a spiral curriculum, the Godly Play method serves children through early, middle, and late childhood and beyond.
GODLY PLAY AT FBC
Beginning Sunday, September 13, First Baptist Church will host a virtual Godly Play session, live on Zoom, each week at 6:00 pm. The class, for preschool – 5th graders, will always begin together but may sometimes break into two classrooms by age groups if numbers allow.
In addition to the Zoom interaction, each child is welcome to a “response bag” to use during Godly Play sessions to make the time together as interactive and as engaging as possible.
We would love for all children to join FBC for the weekly Godly Play session, as the language and stories learned in Godly Play will continue to be central to children’s ministry at FBC.
